📤 Export a Chat or a Single Message (New Feature)

Take a whole conversation with you: "Export Chat" in the chat menu shows the chat name and how many messages it holds before you choose anything
Or a single message: A download button on any message — your own, a teammate's, or an AI response — exports that message alone
Four formats: Rich Text opens as an editable document, PDF comes out fixed-layout and ready to print, Markdown is plain and portable, and CSV gives you a transcript of a chat or the tables out of a single message
Three destinations: Download it, save it to Drive, or copy it to your clipboard
Name it and file it: Saving to Drive lets you rename the file and pick a folder from a searchable tree, then opens it for you from the confirmation
You get the version you opened: If someone edits or retries a message while your export panel is open, a note tells you and offers a refresh

💬 Comments on Records and Tasks (New Feature)

Comment on any record or task: A thread opens beside a record's fields, or under a task's details, and takes the full width on a phone
Mention anyone in your cloud: Type `@` and pick a person — they get a notification that opens straight onto the thread
Reply, edit, and react: Reply to a specific comment with the original quoted above yours, edit or delete your own, and react when a reply isn't needed
Write the way you write everywhere else: Bold, italic, links, and images you can paste or drop straight in
Choose what you hear about: Turn notifications on or off for any record, and an unread mark shows what's arrived since you last looked

✍️ Write With AI Beside Your Document (New Feature)

A full chat inside the document editor: The sparkle button in the editor header opens a conversation right next to what you're writing, so you can ask for changes without leaving the page
Everything chat can do: Models, `@@` mentions, skills, connectors, file uploads, and voice all work exactly as they do in the main chat
Start with one click: An empty pane offers Outline, Rewrite, Summarize, and Continue Writing
Every change is a version: Each AI edit saves a version you can switch back to, and the document is saved and versioned before the first message goes out
Choose which conversation drives it: Pick from your personal and team chats, or start a fresh one. The pane remembers which conversation belonged to which document
Point it at another document: Click a document card in the conversation to move the editor onto it — you're asked first if you have unsaved edits
Set the balance: Drag the divider between the writing and the conversation, and the width is remembered

🔌 Connectors Are Out of Beta

Available to everyone: The Connectors section in cloud settings, the Connect Apps button in chat, and connector `@@` mentions are on for all users without turning on beta features
Connect what your team already runs: Slack, Webex, Teams, OneDrive, Microsoft 365, Asana, HubSpot, and NetSuite, plus any custom connector you add yourself
Google services stay in beta a little longer: Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Drive are available to people with beta features on while Google finishes verifying the app

💼 Slack and Webex Connectors (New Feature)

Bring Slack into chat: Connect your workspace and mention it with `@@SlackConnector` to list channels, read and search messages, and see who's in a channel
Post without leaving the conversation: Sending a Slack message or replying in a thread asks your approval first, with the channel or person shown by name on the card
Webex rooms and messages: Mention `@@WebexConnector` to list your rooms and read what's in them
Sending asks first: Posting a Webex message or creating a room waits for your approval, and a recipient is looked up before anything goes out rather than guessed
Turn them on per chat: Both sit in your connector list and can be switched on or off for an individual chat

🛡️ Custom Connector Improvements

Called what it is: Custom connectors are now named that throughout — "Add Custom Connector", and a Custom Connectors section in your connector list
Approval before anything runs: A custom connector's actions ask your permission with the same card the built-in connectors use — Allow once, Always allow, or Deny
Know exactly what's about to happen: The card names the connector and the action in plain language, explains what it does, and lists every value about to be sent with readable labels
Decide once per action: Cloud Settings → Connectors gives each of a connector's actions its own approval switch, so the ones you trust stop asking
Read-only actions never interrupt: An action marked read-only is labelled as such and always allowed
Switches appear as you connect: A newly connected connector's actions show up straight away, and a removed one's disappear, without a reload
Connections that keep working: Access is refreshed in the background, so a custom connector keeps running past its first expiry
Your brand on the consent screen: A service you connect to shows Emerge.ai as the app requesting access

🧩 Tasks in Chat (New Feature)

Mention `@@Tasks` in any chat: Tasks sits in the `@@` picker in every cloud, with nothing to install and nothing to switch on
Ask for a task, or ask what's on your plate: Emerge.ai can create a task out of what you're discussing and search the tasks you already have
Every task it names is a link: Click one in the answer to open it in Tasks
The same icon everywhere: Tasks shows its own icon and its name in your language — in the picker, on the chip above the message box, in the members row, and on a message you've already sent

📇 Records Open Where You Are (New Feature)

Every record Emerge.ai names is a link: When it searches one of your apps, the records it finds and the ones they reference come back with their names linked, in tables and in sentences alike
Open it without leaving the chat: Click a linked record and it opens in the record drawer over the conversation — the same drawer your apps use — instead of sending you off to GrowthCloud
A link that works anywhere: It's a real Emerge.ai address, so copying a message and pasting it elsewhere still opens that record, and opening it in a new tab lands on the same one
From any page in your cloud: The record drawer, the new-record form, and the file preview now travel with you everywhere — a chat, a split pane, a project, or Tasks all open records in the same place

✅ Tasks — Rebuilt (Improvement)

A list organised by when things are due: Tasks stack into Past due, Next 24 hours, This week, Later, No due date, On hold, and Completed, with due labels reading "Today", "Tomorrow", or how many days late
Sort within a group: Order by due date, priority, or most recently updated
An overview when nothing is selected: Counts for open, past due, next 24 hours, and completed, a breakdown by priority, and the six tasks touched most recently, each one click away
Proper descriptions: Every task gets the same rich-text editor the rest of the app uses
Tag a task and link it to a record: A Related field connects a task to any record in your cloud, and clicking through opens that record without leaving Tasks. Both are on the create dialog too, along with status and assignee
Edits save as you make them: The header shows "Saving…" then "Saved", and a completed task can be edited without reopening it
Send someone exactly what you're looking at: The view, filter, sort, search, and open task all live in the address bar, so a pasted link lands on the same screen and Back works
Know what each view holds: My Tasks covers what you own or created, Assigned To Me what's assigned to you whoever owns it, and Shared other people's tasks — each with a one-line description

🎨 Document Styling (Improvement)

Set a font size: Choose a size for selected text from the toolbar, with your app text-size preference as the starting point
Colour and highlight text: Both now sit in the document toolbar, with custom colours, defaults, a recently-used row, and a way to clear
Give the page a colour: The paint-roller button tints the whole document, and the toolbar and borders re-tint to sit on it
Exports keep it: The page colour carries into PDF, PNG, and HTML exports, including the margin around the page
Headings stay heading-sized in PDF and PNG exports, and code blocks stay readable on a coloured page

🤖 New AI Models

Gemini 3.8 Flash: Google's most intelligent Flash model, built for long-running software work, autonomous agents, and complex enterprise workflows. It takes in around 750,000 words at once
Grok 4.6: xAI's frontier agentic model for long-running agents, coding, and research, taking in around 375,000 words at once

🔐 Privacy & Safety

Email previews open safely: An email file renders in an isolated frame that can't reach your session or report back where it came from
Narrower permissions on Google services: Gmail and Google Calendar request only the access they need

💬 Chat Improvements

Set up who's on a chat before it exists: Pick people and their roles, turn Brie on or off, and enable apps from the New Chat screen — everyone is added the moment you send your first message. "Share with everyone" is there too
Tell your new chats apart: A new chat takes its name from your first message until the AI-written title arrives
Ask about a whole project's files at once: The message box on a project's Files tab attaches every file in the project to what you send, without filling your composer with chips
Current information whenever it's needed: Web search is available on every turn, so an answer that depends on live data gets it without you asking
Documents when you ask for one: A document is written when you ask for one, so a long answer stays an answer
Markdown when you ask for it: A brand-new document can come out as Markdown if that's what you want, and revising a document keeps the format it already has
Moving a chat is clearer: The project it's already in isn't offered, and actions you don't have the right to use explain why
Apps bring their own instructions: An app you mention with `@@` hands the AI the guidance its author wrote, so it works the way that app expects and the links it gives you open the right records in your cloud

📧 Email Files (New Feature)

Read an email in the app: Open an `.eml` file and see From, To, Cc, Subject, and Date above the message body
Switch how you read it: An HTML email toggles between the rendered page and its source; a plain-text email shows its text
Attach one to a chat: Email files can be attached like any other, and show an envelope icon in Drive

🌐 Homepage

A self-running tour of the platform: Beside the sign-in form, the homepage walks through your team's separate AI subscriptions gathering into one account and one bill, choosing a model, daily and weekly team usage, Emerge Fast & Free carrying on once a limit is reached, and moving a chat into a project
In every language we support: The whole tour reads in English, Spanish, and Japanese

🐛 Bug Fixes

Drafts and model choices stay put: An unsent draft stays with the cloud and pane you typed it in and clears once you send, and the model you pick follows the chat rather than the pane, including one you've just started
Roles on a chat shared with everyone: Owners and admins can set roles and remove people, and turning on "Share with everyone" keeps everyone's existing role
Files land in the composer cleanly: A pasted or dropped file uploads once you confirm the one-time notice, and its chip holds one size until the message is sent
Split panes hold their place: The conversation stays put as a response finishes, scrolling to the bottom moves only that pane, and a chat deleted while open offers a way out
The sidebar keeps up: A deleted chat leaves the list immediately, and pinning moves a row as you click it
Drive links and folders: A share link opens the file inside its folder, switching connectors starts a fresh listing, and "Use in chat" attaches to the pane you started from
Shared skills: Only a skill's creator can add or delete its files
Clearer messages: A page you lack permission for says so and who to ask, and a subscription warning names its status
Documents beside the chat: The editor follows the AI's newest version of the document you have open, and a version you pick from the dropdown is the one it stays on
Connector sign-in on mobile: Approving or cancelling a connector's sign-in takes you back to the app
Layout and readability: Dialogs fit short screens, the icon rail holds its width at any text size, and long connector names and addresses sit within their column
